Michelle Scheen started playing flute at age 10 and starting learning saxophone in junior high and clarinet in college. She is a product of Brevard County Schools and graduated from Eau Gallie High School. She attended Brevard Community College to earn her A.A. in music and went on to receive a Bachelor’s in Music and Secondary Education from Rollins College in Winter Park, FL. She performs at the Historic Cocoa Village Playhouse, The Henegar Center for the Arts, and The Annie Russell Theater. She is a member of the Space Coast Flute Orchestra and the Space Coast Big Band. She is also known for playing ethnic and world flutes.
During the day, Mrs. Scheen is the Band and Orchestra Director at Calvary Chapel Academy Melbourne, FL. She is also a member of The Florida Bandmaster’s Association, The Florida Orchestra Association, The Florida Music Education Association, The Florida Flute Association, and Sigma Alpha Iota music fraternity for women.
